First off I would like to say happy birthday to my amazing mother! I wish I was there with you on your birthday, mommy but I will see you soon. I hope you have a great day today, I miss and love you very much! Also happy birthday to my new friend Harriet she left Africa a few days ago and today she turns 21! Have a good birthday, miss you already! I hope to visit you one day in the Uk!
Today is the last day of camp, it is vey sad. I have gotten to know a lot of the girls, and so many have accepted Christ it is amazing how the Holy Spirit works. I have loved teaching the Zambian girls how to play kickball and touch football. It is fun to use my coaching skills and love of sports all the way in Africa! Getting up at 6 in the morning as been a little rough, but let me tell you it is a way to wake up your body, running at such high altitude that early in the morning.
This camp has not only been great for the girls but it has been a huge change in my Christian life also!! My 6 weeks in Africa is almost up and this experience had changed my life forever. The people I have met and the things I have seen have been nothing I have ever experienced before, I hope it will change me forever! Having to pray for these girls day and night and talk to them about The Lord and answering their questions, has shown me how little I really known about my Amazing God! Last night we watched a DVD called "how great is our God" by Louie Giglio and if no one has seen it, I encourage you to watch it. One of the best videos I have seen in a while. The movie was showing how big the universe is and how small and insignificant we are, but God still loved us enough to die on the cross for our sins. I became so speechless to think that He choose me! Here I am being a girl again and sitting there and crying to think of His love for me.
Today we did a huge quiz over the entire 5 days lessons, to see how much the girls have learned is amazing. We gave out prizes for the memory verses, inspection of cabins, the best head scarves, and the quiz! All the girls got bibles which is a blessing because most of them don't have one! Just being able to tell the girls how great their God is has made me more at awe of Him now then when I started this camp! The Holy Spirit has worked so much it is a miracle watching Him do His thing! I can't wait to be able to finally see My Lord's face and give Him a huge hug for what He has done for me. I am not going to Hell because of His wounds and resurrection . God punished His perfect son, Jesus instead of me, what great news!
We are just finishing up lunch and packing up the rest of the things. I will be going from here to Chitokoloki with Jennie till Friday. I will get to see what their missionary hospital is like, Dr. David McAdams works there and it will be cool to work with him. Then Friday I will be coming back to Loloma and packing everything up and saying goodbye and leaving Saturday morning back to the flight house. Sunday I will be traveling back to the America, we will see if my trip back will be as exciting as my trip here! I will miss everyone dearly, I wonder what God has in store for me next. I thought I knew what He wanted for me, but He has shown me that my plans are not His will and I am excited to see what He has planned for my life next (maybe it is to come to Zambia again, who knows.) All I know is I am more happy then I can put into words, the peace I feel is nothing I can begin to explain, and I thank everyone who made this trip possible. God will bless you and I thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers over the last few months! I am off for now, I hope to write one more time in Chit and then one final blog on my trip home telling everyone of my adventures back to The States!
So thrilled for you britt! I am so glad you have had such an amazing experience:)
